WELLNESS REGULATION

The Wellness category returns to the forefront during WNBB competitions in 2025!


This emblematic category, which values a harmonious, athletic and feminine physique, returns to offer athletes a platform where discipline, beauty and performance meet.


After several seasons of waiting, this reintegration marks an important step in our desire to promote the diversity of profiles and reward excellence in all its forms.

Toutes les photos utilisées dans ce livret ont été prises pendant des compétitions. Elles sont libres de droit et utilisées exclusivement dans un but éducatif et règlementaire. Chaque athlète peut demander pour motif légitime le retrait de sa photo.

Categories

Judging Criteria

1 :Outfit

For all levels of competition:

  • Plain-colored swimsuit
  • No patterns
  • Sequins and glitter effects allowed
  • Side width: between 1 and 2 cm
  • Thongs NOT allowed
  • Two-piece swimsuit
  • Crossed-back top recommended (but not mandatory)
  • High-heeled shoes
  • Jewelry and earrings allowed
  • Tanning must be evenly applied (body and face) and dry to the touch when on stage
  • Full body shaving or hair removal is mandatory
  • Bib number must be worn on the left side of the waist and always visible
  • No change of outfit allowed between different rounds

Note:
After attire inspection, any violations that cannot be corrected will result in automatic disqualification.

2 : Rounds

First Stage: Corrected Poses

For all levels and categories:

  • Under the chairman's direction, all athletes in a category come on stage.
  • Athletes are presented in ascending bib number order.
  • Upon their number being called, the athlete steps forward and performs a free pose.
  • After all introductions, the corrected poses are performed with left rotations:
  • Front pose
  • Right side profile
  • Back pose
  • Left side profile

Second Stage: Comparisons

For all levels and categories:

  • Before comparisons, adjustments ("drawers") may occur:
  • The left half of the athletes takes a step back
  • The right half steps forward
  • Athletes then resume their positions in ascending bib number order at the back of the stage.
  • Judges may request comparisons in groups of three to better assess physiques and refine rankings.

Third Stage: Free Round

For all levels and categories:

  • Duration: 1 minute
  • Freestyle performance chosen by the athlete
  • Attire: Identical to that of the mandatory poses; no accessories allowed
  • Heels are optional during this round
  • The routine must synchronize with the music.
  • The originality of the music, the routine, and movement coordination are evaluated.

Note: This contributes to the final score and is particularly important in tie-breaking situations. The performance must be high-quality to ensure an engaging show for the audience.

4 : THE STANDARS

General standards for judging are grouped and judged within 4 items:


Harmony of the body, symetry, line, masses balance.

Lower body must be proportional to upper body.

The notation coeficient is 35% of the final grade.


Hypertrophy, volume and muscular thickness.

Athletes must have curves, muscular volume.

The notation coeficient is 35% of the final grade.


Muscular definition.

The cut must be harmonious all over the body, but without appareance of thinness or anorexia.

The notation coeficient is 25% of the final grade.


Free choregraphy must be performed on the music (the originality of music, choregraphy and relation music / movement are assessed) .

The notation coeficient is 5% of the final grade.

Standards by category:


Standards apply to women and men of both lightweight and heavyweight classes.

WELLNESS « HEAVYWEIGHT CLASS»,


Athletes must be well in proportion, have a good hypertrophy and so muscular mass, volume and curve.


Athletes must have biceps clearly bigger than forearm, triceps perfectly developed, shoulders well develeoped and rounded, an expanded back, V shaped and massive, cruved thights with big quads, hamstrings, glutes and calves distinctly developed.


Muscular definition allows to appreciate the muscular relief, all of the different muscles that can show fiber ribs, and veins under the skin.

5 : LES POSITIONS CORRIGÉES

Attitude générale :

Front corrected pose

Chest:

In maximal opening and optimal back flaring, « chest up » no body swing backward Shoulders aligned, abs, arms and forearms contracted.

Legs:

Always contracted at the maximum. More or less bent according to the definition and volume. Engage the hip to rotate outside. Possibility to rise up foot peaks. Pelvis in anteversion.

Corrected Side Profile Pose:

  • Legs:
  • Fully contracted, slightly bent, not necessarily aligned.
  • Hips:
  • Forward tilt, with heels lifted to accentuate calf muscles.
  • Chest:
  • Fully open, shoulders aligned.

Back corrected pose


Chest:

In maximal opening and optimal back flaring, « chest up » no body swing backward Shoulders aligned, abs, arms and forearms contracted.


Back :

In maximal opening, « take up space ». Shoulders blades perfectly fixed, arms slightly opened, hip more or less in anteversion.


Legs:

Always contracted at the maximum. More or less bent according to the definition and volume. Engage the hip to rotate outside. Possibility to rise up foot peaks. Pelvis in anteversion. Act as if we want to lift the heels to show up the calves.
